We’re super excited to announce we’ve recieved some funding from the Lottery Community Awards for All pot – big shout out to them – and will be using it to run a 9 month Youth Leadership Development program at Redz Youth Hub alongside resident youth group The RYSE. The program surronds 2 key roles – Events and Building Coordinator – that we’re hiring for and then budget for lots of young people to get involved running sessions and helping build/maintain the space!

The key info you need is that both roles are:
- 9 months in length (April to December)
- £15 an hour for 12 hours a week (flexible to your schedule)
- For 18-30 years olds (preferrably 18-25 if the right people)
- About coordinating volunteers and getting as many people involved as possible
- Supported with a Mentor programme from The RYSE (who you’ll be working alongside) and the Stroud Community Space Directors
- Open to all – no direct experience required as this is all about learning in the Role and having the space to develop as a community organiser!
If you’re even slightly interested then please have a read of the full Role Descriptions here – application link at the bottom:
And once you’ve had a good read and if you’re keen then please head to the Application form (should take 20-30mins) which you can find here:

On the descriptions and form you’ll see that there are some key dates which we’ll put here so everyone can see:
- Applications are open from 23rd Feb to 6th March
- Open Evening to come and see Redz/meet the team on Tuesday the 3rd of March
- Interviews will be 11th and 12th of March
- Decisions will be made by 16th of March
- Role will begin on the week starting 30th of March
And then we’ll be into the process and the big thing is to say that we need everyone whose keen to support to project to get involved, run events and make Redz everything it can be for the community. So even if you don’t get the paid role there are loads of volunteers roles to step into!
Please send any questions to Stroudcommunityspace@gmail.com and we’ll get back as soon as possible!

And again big thanks to the amazing folks at the National Lottery Community Fund for supporting this work and believing in the Youth of Stroud – we look forward to reading your applications!
